| So... the war game, everyone's all beat up and bloody and shit, but it doesn't matter because everyone is healed? Freya is now Syr, so really no consequence for her actions. Bell's last line was ... awkward, funny though. Gonna miss seeing hestia's chestias until next season, if there is one. overall a 7/10. |
| Honestly, I enjoyed the series overall. I probably should have watched it all at once because waiting made me forget a lot of the earlier events. Freyja’s ending wasn’t 100% satisfying for me, and I feel like the episode was too fast—everything happened so quickly! The scenes didn’t get the attention they deserved. Suddenly, Ottar fell, then a quick scene with Freyja, then she’s at Mia’s tavern! Everything felt rushed. As for Mama Mia… she suddenly turned into Luffy, haha! I liked it! Also, the message from the tavern girls to Freyja was beautiful. Overall, a great anime—10/10. Thank you, DanMachi! Now, we wait for the final season or whatever comes next. |

| God damn, what a well animated episode with all the shounen battle feels. No complaints about the character design, fight choreography or sakuga animation. The only thing I didn't enjoy about this season is Freya, aka the Home Wrecker goddess. She can literally have her pick from dozens of willing followers already in love with her but she just HAS to have the guy who is already in love with and loved by another goddess. Because of that she lost her familia, her guild's assets, and nearly all her followers (who had to be disbanded). Luckily the tavern family has big hearts and wants the Syr version back but still, I don't think I'd have been as forgiving. |

| Not really sure how to feel about this one now that it's over. The battle was fun to watch, some nice POV shots too. Also nice to see Welf come in clutch at the last second. The biggest surprise is that Freya wasn't sent back to Heaven. I was almost sure that was going to happen. With how the season was leading up to the finale, I was becoming worried on how it would end. The whole Freya vs Syr thing was becoming increasingly convoluted as time went on, making less and less sense. To summarize, Syr was simply a persona Freya wore that allowed her to be among the common folk, and be more of her honest self; at least that's how I've interpreted it. Then they tried to introduce some weird "who are you really?" elements that just muddled the waters. I feel as though the ending was a big misstep. With how this ended, I feel it finally gave Freya a chance to come to terms with her feelings and who she really is. Syr is fake, she isn't real. She was a mask Freya used. So why would Freya return to that fake persona? If she decides to stay with the tavern girls, fine. But it should be as Freya, not as someone she isn't. It would narratively make sense as it would show she has embraced her real self. Plus, Syr's design is like the saltine crackers of character designs. It's so boring and plain to look at. Still a good season, but this ending left a lot to be desired, especially with the main storyline regarding Freya. |
| well that was cool as hell! :D awesome finale! i absolutely do NOT get how Freya and Syr and Horn can exist as 3 people at the same time in that final bit of the last scene. she's Freya talking with the lady innkeeper and Bell and all the waitresses... but she turns into Syr WITH Horn standing on the roof of the inn instead of Horn taking the place of Freya. ah well, after the huge delay the last parts of this Season were great! not that i thought the '1st part' didn't look just as good as all the other parts of the DanMachi franchise. i guess JC Staff just got overwhelmed these past 12+ months and couldn't finish up this one on-time. if i remember correctly, some of the LN Vol 19+'spoiler-ish' synopsis and such i've read/watched vids on YT... Season 6 is gonna be... weird... something about some kind of school slice-of-life arc. since Vol 20 was just published Dec 2024 we'll probably have to wait 2-4 more years for anime S6... looking back on how long the books for S5 took to publish... '2020-21 was the gap between Vols16&17, '21-23 was Vols17&18/19, and over a year between 19&20 with ONLY Vol20 for 2024... so unless Omori-sensei puts out Vols21&22 this year, JC won't have enough content to adapt even 12 episodes anytime soon. unless they turn their sights BACK on SwordOratoria and continue that anime or start up on the Familia Myth books. |

| Thank god it's finally over. I can't believe that I used to like Bell in the first season of Danmachi. And now I just hate every time he opens his mouth. At this point it feels like the only purpose of every new season of Danmachi is to add another girl to Bell's harem. It gets worse and worse though with focus on the worst kind of people who then (of course) get redeemed at the very end. I hated almost everything about this season. 2/10 |
| Holy sweet potatoes, there was a lot that happened in this episode but.... That rizz Bell showed at the end, I wanna give this season a 10 just because. Seriously what's the point of all that rejection and teaching her to let her crush go to fake rizz her again? Oh ef it, just give me season 6, this is one of my first anime series, glad it continues to go on. I never believed it will have more after the 1st. |

| @Martin_Taylor yeah you can go 'spoil' yourself on the next story arc after Season 5 since Vols. 19 and 20 have been out for a bit now... last i read Yen Press hasn't published the English Vol20 yet. considering for Vol19 Yen took from the Jap. version date of Sep. 15, 2023 till Yen published their Eng. version on Aug. 20, 2024... you're gonna have to find a fanslation online of Vol20 right now or wait till maaaaybe Oct. or Nov. 2025 for Yen Press' version. |

| This season began with really funny episodes, and ended with a somewhat epic team battle. Sadly Freya/Syr lore was really damn complicated to follow lol, crazy ass bitch. Since Freya still lost her Familia, everything, Bell should have just slayed her, imagine the exp bro lmao but yeah of course that would never happen. I liked this season, it was good, but I hope the next one is better, like IV was. |

| pretty good finale. the last scene was golden. hard to think that a whole season about an anime which has dungeon in its name ended with not entering dungeon even once. this whole freya business was due ever since season 1. it feels nice to see it dealt with. i wonder where those big shots like ottarl will go now. i hope they join hestia familia. seems like the only plot left now would be to explore more of dungeon and get to defeating the black dragon. unless something else comes up. but i've heard the ln is in its final arc so it feels highly likely that the dungeon is explored more now. current hestia familia can clear floors upto 37 with no difficulty i think so we might get to see hestia and loki familia conjoined advernture. also i wonder if the freya personality will vanish now the she has chosen to give up goddesshood and just become a normal girl. seems like sehe will be stuck with being syr. that reminds me i'm really shipping ryu and bell but bell still has eyes only for aiz. such a waste. aiz and bell aren't close like ryu and bell are after the whole 37th floor ordeal. i hope season 6 is announced soon. i binged all 5 seasons within 4 days so its gonna be a big pain later when i have to watch season 6 weekly or wait months for it to get over to binge it. 8/10 overall. solid season and goldy fighting sequences. the choregraphy and direction in the final fight with ottarl was just too damn good especially after receiving the lighting boost from the elf. |

| This show was awful and cringe-worth at another whole level, from start to end. And oh, Freya... you had my respect, but now everything is shattered. What they have done to you; the stupidity they made you go trough. They ruined everything because of Bell-kun. *claps* *claps* Dungeon Ni has become painful to watch after season 2, but this season is at another whole level. I was hopeful, but for naught in the end. Please no more, this is enough. 1/10 |

| i can't describe how i feel about the ending, well it's a happy ending but I feel I need more detailed closure about this arc. Overall ep. was a 5 star for me. looking for season 6!!! |
| Devoured the 13 first episodes then I had to wait... Waited for the last two episode to come out, then I delayed and I'm late at finishing it but here I am (after rewatching episodes 11-13 too btw). You don't often get schizophrenia characters and the twist on Freyja is quite unique. I enjoyed mostly for the romance and classic "fight for the girl's heart" epic battle at the end. Animation and story pacing was overall fluid, I gladly grant overall a 10/10, I hardly enjoyed a DanMachi season this much, i think the romance stuff hit my soft spot. However, disappointed by the very end. It felt kinda anticlimactic, especially Bell's "minx" line that just felt thrown out of nowhere. If I understand the comments here, they rushed through LN content to get to Freya's resolution.... a shame to ruin a great anime on such a sour note. Since it's not even half of last episode, I'll overlook this. Hard for me to recommend DanMachi S5 alone though; when you're already at 5th season, anime fans are already either into its huge cast or not at all. |

Did Zeus answer Hermes' prayer or did the turbo boost come from Liliruca? I already have speculation of the relationship between Bell and Zeus even though I have no proof. If you know Greek mythology then you probably came to the same conclusion as me.
| @Ganoh When he gets his level up Hestia mentions that his Escape skill has powered up. He runs faster when someone is chasing him. It was a good season, though with so many other shows *COUGH*shield hero*COUGH* I am open to the notion that I might just be shocked that they're not completely tanking everything after a strong start. The first person POV scenes had me rolling though. Who the fuck thought that was a good idea? xD |

| i liked the time they took to show Freya being all over Bell in private despite having so much to adapt in 15 episode, in the end the best part of the season was when Ais show up and talk about memory she forgot and Bell fall on his knee, this was pure cinema |
| I wonder what the stragglers of the Freya familia will be up to from now on. When your goddess disbands a familia do they keep the stats if they join another? what about level ups if they keep their old crest? It doesn't need to be answered this episode but I'm curious how things will turn out now that Loki is one of the few powerhouse familias left in Orario. |
| That was the best possible ending to the season I could ever ask for. The Freya familia is dismissed and she can finally live as just Syr. I think that's the best that could happen to her after all that's happened. This season's definitely not as good as last season, but I'd say this ending is just right. All's well that ends well I guess. 8/10 |
